Visit Bedford Flea, Affordable Art & Local Produce Market on St Paul's Square.

Updated: Feb 3

I think we've managed to visit every Bedford Flea, Affordable Art & Local Produce Market on St Paul's Square for the past two years, and every time the second Sunday of the month rolls around, we get excited at the opportunity to invite friends and family to visit us in Bedford for a leisurely stroll around the lovely stalls and pick up a freshly roasted coffee to sip on as we browse.

Sometimes the coffee is a little decadent, with a shot of Baileys or accompanied with a giant toasted marshmallow and tonnes of fresh cream from Curly Sisters beautiful vintage Citröen van. Other times it's a classic Italian cuppa from La Piazza as we enjoy sitting together in the square and watching the buzzy market and the buskers playing happen all around us.

The Flea brings such a lovely ambiance to St Paul's Square, enhanced by the morning church bells of St Paul's chiming in chorus and the buskers on the Seeing Eye Rum stage singing their hearts out or playing their instruments to crowds engaged in the spectacle. Sometimes, we even get to join in with the swing dancing when May Blossom and her dancers take to the stage.

As you enter the Flea, you're greeted by a wide vareity of local art on display with each artisit happy to chat about their work. There's often original art, prints, greetings cards and postcards available, even tea towels! So you can support an artist's work at different price points and own something special to brighten your home decor or bring some cheer to someone's day.
